BIOMED COURSES
The biomedical research academy at Emerald Campus is a class offered to students from all three Dublin high schools that offers several courses to help students in their biomedical studies.
There are four main courses taught to students by three different teachers for two periods five days a week (Mon-Fri). The first is AP Biology that is very similar to AP Biology offered at home schools but with less busy work because students only have this class 4-5 times a week. The second class covered is a biomedical art class that students have 2-3 times a week. The other two remaining classes, Advanced Research in Science and Body Systems, are both semester classes that teach students basic anatomy and research skills. At the end of the year, each student must submit a project that has been in progress the entire year. The Capstone Project is an individual research project where each student researches a topic and runs tests and collects data to present a final conclusion.
